I HAVE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2012 LAND ROVER, RANGE ROVER EVOQUE ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2012. WHEN I GET HOME WITH MY NEW CAR I REALIZED THAT THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK AND THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM(THE DEALER TOLD ME THIS). WHEN I WAS APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR I HEAR NOISE FROM THE CAR AND ALSO WHEN I MAKE TURNS. IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR WITH ONLY 41 MILES WHEN I BROUGHT IT. The contact owns a 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated while driving at 30-40 MPH, the suspension of the vehicle emitted abnormal metallic sounds intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who lifted the vehicle and diagnosed that an unknown vehicle clamp was lose. The vehicle was repaired; however, the independent mechanic informed the contact that the fuel tank strap and shield were severely corroded and was detaching. Exterior and interior began to smell of gasoline, upon investigation by accessing the low pressure fuel pump located under the rear seat, it was determined the fuel pump developed hairline cracks allowing fuel to leak onto the undercarriage of the vehicle.

There is a gasoline leak which could be seen on the right rear underside of my vehicle (there is an exposed tank-like looking component saturated with gasoline) which can be easily ignited and cause a fire whether the car is running or parked. My vehicle is with the dealer at the moment being looked at. The dealer told me a flange connected to the fuel system and fuel pump was cracked (for no apparent reason, it just failed) which causes the leak. Car started to smell like gas. Had mechanic check and there is a fuel tank leak . No engine light appeared prior to having inspected.
