This four month old 2024 Range Rover LWB with Bosch brakes experienced a sudden and complete loss of braking capabilities. When the driver went to brake and while turning into a parking stall, the brake pedal was not in its usual position and did not work. It was stuck to or close to the floor mat and was unresponsive. The brake was not at the normal position springing back after having previously compressed it. The braking system failure happened at a low speed after a series of turns. The driver was unable to stop the vehicle and it crashed.…

On first occastions while driving at 60+ MPH on a busy highway, the vehicle beeped for a few seconds and the dashboard went blank, engine died, no brakes, no power steering. It was only a miracle that saved me from being hit at a high speed by other drivers. The dealer charged the battery and updated the SW. Approximately 5 weeks later, on the second occasion after driving 300 miles out of town, the same thing happened again. Luckily, I was on a local road and was able to get off the travel lanes. The contact owns a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle would shift into neutral independently before losing automotive power. A warning message "Electrical Fault detected" and another unknown were displayed. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a catastrophic converter failure. The vehicle was repaired out of pocket. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
