I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, SUDDENLY THE 'CRITICAL WARNING MESSAGE' AND 'BRAKE' LIGHTS CAME ON. THE CAR LOST POWER QUICKLY, WITH THE MOMENTUM THE CAR RAN FEW HUNDRED FEET TO STOP. THEN, THE WORD 'GEARBOX FAULT' AND 'BATTERY CHARGE' APPEAR. THE ENGINE STILL RUN, BUT I WAS COMPLETELY STUCK, COULD NOT ROTATE THE GEAR. The shift gear is broken. It is stuck in drive, I cannot park, reverse, or put the vehicle in neutral. Because the gear shift is stuck in drive I had to crash the vehicle into a curb, as not to hurt myself or others. Once resting against the curb I had to quickly get out and disconnect the battery, otherwise my car would have continued driving. The gear shift remains broken and in drive. Research shows that this is a common and persistent issue with Land Rovers; one that isn’t disclosed during purchase. This was a considerable safety hazard …

Crankshaft pulley and Crankshaft had a manufactured defect that caused the pulley to brake into pieces while standing at a stop intersection, multiple pieces of metal were projected towards the radiator, water pump, passenger wheel, serpentine belt, battery and other components causing considerable damage and left the vehicle inoperable. The repairs were substantial and required multiple parts to be replaced due to a low quality part (crankshaft and pulley) during the vehicle's assembly, among some of them were a new Crankshaft pulley, radiato…

I WAS DRIVING FROM WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY TO LONG ISLAND VIA I-695 HEADING TOWARD THE THROGS NECK BRIDGE ON 12/12/18. I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE JUST BEFORE THE LAST EXIT BEFORE THE BRIDGE WHEN MY DASHBOARD WENT DARK, THE RED BATTERY LIGHT (BELOW THE SPEEDOMETER) CAME ON, I LOST POWER AND STEERING. LUCKILY A SMALL SHOULDER OPENED UP AND I WAS ABLE TO TUG THE WHEEL LEFT TO GET INTO THE SHOULDER BEFORE MY CAR COMPLETELY ROLLED TO A STOP. I AVOIDED A CRASH BUT IT WAS LUCK. WAS DRIVING SPEED LIMIT AND MOVING WITH TRAFFIC ON MAJOR CITY ROAD WHEN BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD BUT STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC DURING RUSH HOUR. CAR IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO PARK AND COULD NOT MOVE OR TURN ON. GOT A NOTE ON THE DASH THAT SYSTEM WAS SHUTTING DOWN. CAR HAD JUST BEEN SERVICED 4 MONTH PRIOR.
