TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY I. HE RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE # 04V203000 IN AUGUST 2006 CONCERNING FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BEFORE REPLACING THE FUEL TANK. ALSO, THEY STATED THAT IT WOULD COST THE CONTACT APPROXIMATELY $500 TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 148,000. *AK

CONSUMER STATED THAT WHEN GAS TANK WAS FULL GAS LEAKED FROM THE TOP OF THE TANK. CONSUMER CALLED THE MANUFACTURER TO INDICATE THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS HAVING SAME PROBLEM AS STATED IN RECALL 04V007000, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY I. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPENED WITHOUT WARNING. FURTHERMORE, THE DOOR COULD NOT BE CLOSED. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, ALTHOUGH THE WHEELS WOULD TURN. AS OF SEPTEMBER 26, 2007, THE DEALER HAD NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 155,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 161,983.
