ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES, THE ELECTRICALLY POWERED WINDOWS MAY BE OPERATED WHEN THE IGNITION KEY IS IN THE "OFF" POSITION OR IS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS CONSTITUTES A NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 118, "POWER OPERATED WINDOWS".
Remedy: DEALER WILL MODIFY THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO PRECLUDE POWER WINDOW OPERATION WHEN THE IGNITION KEY HAS BEEN TURNED OFF OR REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH.
