KTM 950 SUPERMOTO GAS TANK LEAKS FROM THE LEFT HAND SIDE. GAS IS EVIDENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FAIRING AND THE FLOWING OUT OF THE TANK AT A SUFFICIENT RATE TO DRIP AND POOL. MOTORCYCLE WAS IN STORAGE AND NOT DRIVEN FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WHEN LEAKING OCCURRED SO IT IS NOT THE RESULT OF MISUSE OR ABUSE. *TR

THE 2006 KTM SUPERMOTO 950 HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE LEFT SIDE OF THE GAS TANK. THE TANK WILL LEAK WHERE THE OUTPUT IS ATTACHED. THE LEAK IS SIGNIFICANT AND THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE LISTING THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET. KTM STATES IT WILL REPLACE THE TANK, BUT WILL CHANGE FULL PRICE FOR THE EXCHANGE. THE TANKS COST OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. THE LEAK IS CAUSED BECAUSE THE PLASTIC IS THIN AT THIS POINT IN THE TANK AND WILL WARP. *TR
