MY 2014 KIA SPORTAGE IS DYING AT RANDOM TIMES. IT HAS DONE IT ON MANY OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, STOPPED AT STOP SIGNS AND STOP LIGHTS, DROPPING MY SON OFF AT SCHOOL,PULLING OUT OF THE STORE, ECT. I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MANY TIMES BUT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE FOUND WRONG. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V051000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that the remedy was not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

SHORTLY AFTER I TOOK POSSESSION OF THIS VEHICLE, ON 3-15-14, I BEGAN TO NOTICE THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY FLASHING ON THE DASH PANEL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN PULLING TO THE RIGHT. WHILE DRIVING MY LEASED 2014 KIA SPORTAGE, THERE WAS NONSTOP CONTINUOUS HESITATION "BUCKING", WITH WHITE SMOKE BLOWING OUT OF THE TAILPIPE, LOSS OF SPEED THEREFORE HAVING TO PRESS HARD ON GAS PEDAL TO AVOID ACCIDENT BY TRYING PULL OFF ROAD. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, CAR BEGAN TO LOSE POWER AND THEN STARTED CUTTING OUT. I PULLED OVER ON HIGHWAY SHOULDER. CAR WAS PUTTING. I TURNED CAR OFF AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. I REPLACED BATTERY AND IT STILL WOULD NOT RESTART.

I personally DONT know what happened with the car the engine light came on and the car started to pull harder to the right side causing the steering to become unbearable thankfully by god I was able to control it and no one nor myself got hurt. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the PCV valve was replaced. The dealer also performed an engine flush, and oil change, and filled the fuel tank. My vehicle stalled (104000mi) bought in 2024 looked up online was known between 2023-2024 engine recall I wasn't told or shown on Car Fax anything about this So [XXX] worked on engine 2.
