TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 KAWASAKI 1600 NOMAD (NA). WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHENEVER IT IS SHIFTED INTO A DIFFERENT GEAR. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED 30 TIMES. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND WAS SERVICED EVERYTIME; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 27,433 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300. UPDATED 4/25/08 *CN

I RIDE A 2005 KAWASAKI VULCAN NOMAD 1600. ON THE KAWASAKI VULCAN NOMAD 1600, YEARS 2005-2008 THE ENGINE SOMETIMES STALLS IF THE RIDER IS COASTING WITH THE CLUTCH PULLED IN. THIS IS THE TOPIC OF A CURRENT RECALL WITH THE 2009-2010 KAWASAKI VOYAGER AND WAS ALSO A PROBLEM AND LATER CORRECTED IN THE KAWASAKI VULCAN 900 SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I BELONG TO A NOMAD FORUM AND ALL OWNERS OF THESE YEARS/MAKES AND MODELS OF THE KAWASAKI VULCAN NOMAD 1600 EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM. THE ENGINE STALLING COULD CAUSE A CRASH, INJURY, OR DEATH.
