GAS TANK LEAKED GASOLINE WHILE I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. *JB THE CONSUMER HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER ON 4 OCCASIONS. THE FUEL SENDING UNIT AND GASKET TANK WAS REPLACED UNDER RECALL. TWO DAYS LATER, IT WAS REPLACED AGAIN. ONE MONTH LATER THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO SMELL GAS AND THE TANK AND GASKET WAS REPLACED AGAIN. THE CONSUMER STATED THE GAS TANK IS STILL LEAKING. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED AN E-MAIL STATING THE CRACK ON THE TANK HAD BEEN THERE FOR SOME TIME AND WAS NOT A RESULT OF IT BEING DAMAGED BY THE TECHNICIAN. THE CON…

VIN [XXX] I HAVE A 1992 JEEP WRANGLER SARAHA YJ WITH ABOUT 150,000 MILES. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT THE TILT STEERING COLUMN BROKE. THERE SEEMS TO BE A SHEAR PIN WHICH KEEPS THE TILT STEERING MECHANISM IN POSITION. WHEN THE SHEAR PIN BREAKS THE TILT STEERING JUST FLOPS UP AND DOWN. PERIODICALLY THE SHEAR PIN ON THE TILT STEERING BREAKS. IT JUST BROKE AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME IN ABOUT 5 YEARS. IT COSTS ABOUT $300 TO FIX.
