Owner report 10188042 · 2007-04-16 (April 16, 2007)
DURING NORMAL DRIVING, MY VEHICLE WILL STALL. HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT (5 MONTHS). TOTAL LOSS OF ALL POWER STEERING, BRAKES, AND ELECTRICAL IN THE VEHICLE. DEALER TOLD ME ON BOTH OCCASIONS THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE DID NOT REPORT A CODE IN THE COMPUTER, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. *JB

SECOND TIME ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 SECONDS AND THEN RESUMED . NO POWER STEERING, BRAKES, AND ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS ON THEN REGAINED FUNCTIONS TO RUN. RAINING WITH HEADLIGHTS ON, AIR CONDITIONER , WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND RADIO WERE ON. NO CODES WERE STORED ,SO HOW CAN YOU FIX IT. I THOUGHT IT WAS A VOLTAGE PROBLEM, BUT CHRYLSER HAD NO ANSWERS. SO, AFTER MY FAMILY WAS DEAD FROM AN ACCIDENT THEY COULD BLAME ME, I GUESS. *AK

WITHIN A FEW MONTHS OF PURCHASING THE JEEP WRANGLER, IT BEGAN RANDOMLY POPPING OUT OF 1ST GEAR. IT WAS UNCOMMON AND INCONSISTENT AT FIRST. IT WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER ([XXX]) MULTIPLE TIMES AND WE WERE REPEATEDLY TOLD THEY "COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE". THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR WEEKS ON END. FINALLY THE TECH DUPLICATED THE ISSUE AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION WITH A REBUILT. THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM ONLY TEMPORARILY, AND SOON IT BEGAN POPPING OUT OF 1ST GEAR AGAIN.
