DURING ACCELERATION THROTTLE BECAME STUCK. VEHICLE STARTED INCREASING IN SPEED WITHOUT THE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. I INITIALLY HELD ON THE BRAKES FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE COMPRESSIONS WITHOUT ANY NOTICEABLE DECREASE IN SPEED OR RPM. SHIFTED CAR TO LOWER GEAR ALONG WITH BRAKES, STILL RPM AND SPEED WAS INCREASING. PLAN B WAS TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND LET THE ENGINE BLOW OR SHUT VEHICLE OFF WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY HIGHWAY. IN THE MIDST OF GOING THROUGH THESE ACTIONS VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING. AFTER HAVING SAFETY RECALL N23 / NHTSA 13V-175 PERFORMED, MY VEHICLE'S TRANSFER CASE NO LONGER SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD, PREVENTING THE VEHICLE FROM SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL OR 4 LOW. I DO NOT TRUST THAT THE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM WILL FUNCTION CORRECTLY NOW AS IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS SAME SYSTEM ADJUSTS THE TORQUE TO THE FRONT AND REAR AXLES AS NEEDED. *TR
