TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 JAYCO ALANTE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY VEERED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT AND THE STEERING NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 720. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

AFTER DELIVERY OF THE NEW VEHICLE IS WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT AND WAS HARD TO STEER. TOE AND CASTER ALIGNMENT WERE FOUND OUT OF SPECIFICATION AND THE STEERING WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS TWO SPLINES OFF. NEITHER FORD OR JAYCO WILL HONOR A WARRANTY CLAIM. FORD SAYS THEIR CHASSIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY AFTER A MOTORHOME IS INSTALLED BY JAYCO AND JAYCO DOES NOT WARRANTY THE FORD CHASSIS

The contact owns a 2017 Jayco Alante RV built on a 2016 Ford F53 Chassis. The contact stated that there was a design flaw, making it impossible to work on the braking system of the motorhome. While having a routine oil change at the local dealer, the contact was informed that the brake fluid reservoir could not be opened because the brake fluid reservoir was not accessible. The contact owns a 2021 Jayco Alante. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, he was unable to disconnect the battery disconnect switch. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the RV to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the battery disconnect switch to be replaced. The RV was repaired but continued to experience failure. The contact took the RV back to the local dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
