TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1991 JAGUAR XJ6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CABLES FOR THE SEAT BELT MODULE WERE REPLACED ACCORDING TO A RECALL. CURRENTLY, THE RESTRAINT MODULE IS FAULTY AND CAUSING THE SEAT BELT TO EXTEND ACROSS THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE THE CONTACT IS DRIVING. HE FEELS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE SEAT BELT CAN BECOME TANGLED UP WITH THE STEERING WHEEL AND CAUSE A CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT REPAIR THE SEAT BELT MODULE UNDER WARRANTY. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 140,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
