THE 2ND AND 6TH HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION LINES MAY CRACK DUE TO ENGINE VIBRATION. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: DIESEL FUEL COULD BE SPRAYED ON A HOT EXHAUST MANIFOLD WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: REPLACE 2ND AND 6TH FUEL INJECTION LINES AND INSTALL A SUPPORT BRACKET FOR BOTH LINES.

THROTTLE RETURN SPRINGS ARE SUBJECT TO FATIGUE AND COULD FAIL.

Consequence: FAILURE OF BOTH SPRINGS CAUSES LOSS OF TRUCK CONTROL ANDCOULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy: REPLACE THROTTLE RETURN SPRINGS.
