Owner report 10910179 · 2016-09-28 (September 28, 2016)

WHEN SITTING WITH THE VEHICLE STOPPED, SUCH AS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE BRAKE PEDAL FADES AND THE PEDAL ALMOST GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR.

Owner report 11417442 · 2021-05-17 (May 17, 2021)

I was backing out of the garage intending to stop on the driveway and inspect tires in the sunlight. The brakes had no effect and the car proceeded across the street and up the neighbor's driveway and finally stopped just short of their garage door. All this time I was applying the brake repeatedly with no result. Why it stopped just in time to save neighbor's door I don't know. I was too panicked to think of using the parking brake until later. A similar incident had occurred about a year ago in a restaurant drive-through. At that time I …

Owner report 10724003 · 2015-05-28 (May 28, 2015)

THE VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY EXHIBITS A SHUDDER (VIBRATION, TREMOR) WHEN (1) THE VEHICLE IS WARMED (DRIVEN AT LEAST 10 MILES FROM COLD START), (2) MOVING AT A SPEED ABOVE APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, AND (3) THE THROTTLE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. USUALLY, BUT NOT CONSISTENTLY, THE SHUDDER IMMEDIATELY DISSIPATES WHEN PRESSURE TO THE THROTTLE PEDAL IS RELEASED OR WHEN THE TRANSMISSION IS PUT INTO NEUTRAL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN INTO AND IN A RIGHT HAND CURVE, THE SHUDDER IS NOT PRESENT REGARDLESS OF ANY OR NO PRES…

Owner report 11529713 · 2023-06-30 (June 30, 2023)

The contact owns a 2017 Infiniti QX70. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the transmission was hard shifting into gear. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift into the proper gear. Additionally, while driving in the rain, the vehicle hydroplaned on three occasions. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the valve body needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The man…

Owner report 11576216 · 2024-03-08 (March 8, 2024)

Multiple incidents of car not starting or stalling in rain. 1. After a rainstorm while parked, noticed water on the driver side floor and dripping from the driver door side under dashboard, water coming from defective design of sunroof water drains/tubing which are clogged because the tube is too thin which traps common dirt and dust from rain and road water. A wider diameter tubing or requiring maintenance during oil change intervals (blowing air into the tubing to unblock the clog) would likely solve this defect and car owners money. Car wo…

Owner report 11615862 · 2024-09-22 (September 22, 2024)

The issue I have experienced involved my car stalling due to an inaccurate fuel gauge reading: basically, ran out of gas on a road while fuel gage was still showing half tank full. Luckily, was able to avoid any accident. The error code came up: P0462, which stands for “Fuel Level Sensor ‘A’ Circuit Low,” and indicates a problem with the fuel level sensor circuit. I was going to replace the fuel gauge/pump, but was told by a Nissan technical adviser at the dealership, the root cause is likely a faulty instrument cluster module, which is respons…

Owner report 11639483 · 2025-01-29 (January 29, 2025)

Brake fluid began leaking onto the ABS actuator circuit board and created an electrical fire. This melted the engine harness and the connector to the abs module. This was confirmed by dealership technicians at Sewell Infiniti - Dallas. Dealership informed me they could not fix the vehicle because the part needed to replace (affected by a different recall), was discontinued and made me tow the vehicle to my house. The issue was confirmed by mechanics at Parkwood collision - Frisco. InfinitiUSA customer service acknowledged the issue and that t…
