Owner report 11593327 · 2024-06-09 (June 9, 2024)

My transmission went out at only 1800 miles. It slipped out of gear 2 times while driving. Looking on line I see that I am not the only one. Also people are saying that there 2nd transmission goes out also. I am in the middle of trying to get a buy out.

Owner report 11600437 · 2024-07-09 (July 9, 2024)

Two incidents prior to taking in to the dealership: Thursday, 6/27: Car would not reverse when trying to get out of parking spot. Even though it was indicating reverse it kept moving forward in neutral Friday, 6/28: Car would not go into park. When I tried to set it in park it switched between gears erratically before ending on neutral. Received warning to take it to the dealer and could not turn off car, it stayed in accessory mode. Wednesday, 7/3: Learned from dealer that there was a hole in transmission. No update on how long it will take…

Owner report 11591669 · 2024-05-31 (May 31, 2024)

When placed in "Park" the vehicle's brakes did not engage, which allowed the vehicle to roll backwards when I exited the vehicle. I was able to reproduce the problem again and I recorded a video showing the problem. When pressing "Park" on the electronic shifter, the dashboard displays that the video is in "Park". However, the brakes are not engaged as evidenced by the vehicle rolling backwards when I take my foot off the brake. After reproducing the issue a couple times (~ 10 minutes later) and documenting the issue with a video, the check e…

Owner report 11613194 · 2024-09-07 (September 7, 2024)

While the car was in park, we used the auto start feature to get the A/C going as we walked to the car. We heard a loud popping sound then shut the car off. My husband looked under the hood to look around for what could have made the noise and asked me to start the car. When I did, the car started moving forward on it's own with my husband standing in front of it and our 3 kids in the car to witness, which was scary but fortunately nobody was hurt and we were parking and not in traffic. I was able to use the brakes to get it to stop moving. We …

Owner report 11613088 · 2024-09-06 (September 6, 2024)

The digital gage cluster went black on my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy (AWD) while I was driving on September 5, 2024. There were no prior warnings or indicators to alert me that anything was going to fail/not operate properly. I was entering a school zone and could not determine what speed I was traveling at to ensure that I was not moving too fast and endangering children, as well as walking parents; I pulled over and activated my Heads-Up-Display (HUD) to see if I could utilize it to safely continue my journey. I was able to use the HUD…

Owner report 11611830 · 2024-08-30 (August 30, 2024)

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, I was driving southbound on Interstate 95 in Florida at 72 miles per hour in the left lane. As I approached my exit, I attempted to switch to the middle lane when, suddenly, the car stalled. Pressing the gas pedal had no effect, and the car rapidly lost speed. Fortunately, the drivers around me, who were all traveling at speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour, slowed down, allowing me to safely pull over onto the shoulder of the highway. The following morning, I contacted the dealer and drove the car in for inspectio…

Owner report 11698379 · 2025-11-08 (November 8, 2025)

I was riding on a suburban street and ran over a branch I did not see due to rain and darkness. I went back and looked at the incident and the branch did not seem like it was that big but I quickly lost power and my car stalled and I could not get it restarted. I later found out that that branch took out my hybrid battery connection under the car which rendered the car useless. It is a 5000 fix. I don't know why such an important part is exposed under the undercarriage of an AWD SUV. I was traveling at 27 MPH. If I had been on a highway it wo…

Owner report 11651148 · 2025-03-27 (March 27, 2025)

The Forward Attention Warning device located on the steering column (camera) cannot be disengaged. This device does not allow me to wear dark or polarized sunglasses, which I need since I have eye issues. This is a safety issue for me and others, especially since I am [XXX] [XXX] and there are times when the visor doesn't cover the sun. You can 'disengage' it in the Driver Assistance settings but it does not stop the warnings nor does it stop it from disengaging your cruise control. If you look to the side of the vehicle, look up to pull th…

Owner report 11673090 · 2025-07-12 (July 12, 2025)

I was driving on the freeway at 70MPH it was dusk. The traffic was light and I was exiting the freeway. Two lanes exit and then split each direction. There is a car next to me but is not coming into my lane and nobody in front of me. Suddenly a collision alarm starts going off the vehicle brakes and the emergency steering notification lights up on the dash and the vehicle swerves to the left almost hitting the median. After this occurred the transmission started having issues at speeds under 15mph with shifting. It would rev up to about 3500rp…

Owner report 11603366 · 2024-07-19 (July 19, 2024)

Our 2024 Santa Fe while traveling 70mph on the freeway suddenly lost power and went into what Hyundai warranty described as "limp mode'. This happened 2x. The 1st time was June 26, 2024 and the 2nd time was June 29th 2024. Both times the high pressure fuel pump was diagnosed by 2 different Hyundai dealership service facilities. Both times were highly potentially serious risk situations- traveling at highway speeds in traffic when suddenly losing engine power, and having to navigate off freeway/highway with no acceleration, basically rolling/drif…
