The contact also stated that the brake lights were inoperable and she was concerned that other drivers might crash into her vehicle due to the brake lights not functioning as designed. The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal sound and then lost motive power. The oil and battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after three hours. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 119,000.

CAR SHUT OFF WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY RANDOMLY STARTED SHAKING. ALL LIGHTS TURNED ON CHECK ENGINE,MOTOR OIL LIGHT BATTERY LIGHT. CAR SHUT OFF TO THE POINT WHERE I COULDN'T ACCELERATE. SO IMAGINE BEING ON THE HIGHWAY AND YOUR CAR SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY WHILE YOUR IN MOTION AND CANT ACCELERATE TO MERGE TO THE EMERGENCY LANE. THIS HAPPENED 4 MORE TIMES ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP LESS THEN 800 MILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
