The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT. The contact stated that on two sperate occasions while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that on one occasion while driving she heard a ticking and knocking sound under the hood of the vehicle before the vehicle stalled. The check engine warning light illuminated; however, after five minutes, the contact was able to restart the vehicle and the check engine warning light turned off. At 87000 miles engine started knocking and stalling. Took it to the dealership and rod bearings went out and needs an entirely brand new engine over $6000. As I am the second owner. I wasn't notified. Hyundai refuses to fix the car due to the fact the i did not get the recall

Car shut off while at a traffic light and would not restart after several attempts at jumping the battery. It was later determined that the high-pressure fuel pump had failed.
