WHEN PRESSING THE STARTER BUTTON THE ENGINE GIVES A HALF CRANK THEN NOTHING. RELEASE AND PUSH AGAIN AND MAYBE THE STARTER WILL CRANK AND START THE MOTOR. I REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH NEW AND WHEN THE MOTOR CRANKS AND STARTS, THE TRIP AND CLOCK RESET EVERY TIME THE BIKE IS SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED. MANY OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE REPLACEMENT STARTER PART NUMBER AND SIZE IS DIFFERENT THAN ORIGINAL. HONDA UPGRADED THE STARTER BASED ON PAST CLAIMS BUT NEVER DID A RECALL. STARTER FAILS WHEN ITS HOT. IT WILL START TO TURN THEN JUST CLICKS. HAVE TO KEEP IT PLUGGED IN TO THE CHARGER. THE ITS OK TILL IT RUNS DOW THE BATTERY. I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINTS,AND EVEN THAT HONDA HAS CHANGED THE PART NUMBER FOR REPLACEMENT, AND IT'S 300.00. THEY SHOULD RECALL THESE STARTERS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA FURY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE BEFORE STALLING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 200.
