TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA CBR1100XX MOTORCYCLE. THE TEST CONNECTOR THAT IS IN THE MAIN WIRING HARNESS IN THE REAR OF THE MOTORCYCLE HAS CORRODED. WATER HAS LEAKED INTO THE REAR OF THE MOTORCYCLE WHICH CAUSED IT TO SHUT OFF INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A OR MECHANIC. THE CONTACT DOES NOT WANT TO DRIVE THE MOTORCYCLE DUE TO THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 20,000.

DT: WHEN THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION HE LOST THE REAR BRAKES. THE BRACKET ON THE RIGHT FOOT PEG DID NOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT AT THE TIME, AND THIS WAS WHY THE BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A WEEK, BUT THEY HAVE NOT CONTACTED THE CONSUMER. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED THERE WAS NO WARNING, THERE WAS A SPACE BETWEEN SKID MARKS, WHERE THERE WERE NO SKID MARKS, AND THEN THE FRONT BRAKES CAME INTO EFFECT. CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO RIGHT ANKLE, KNEE, PELVIS BONE, AND ABRASIONS TO RIGHT SHOULDER. …
