The front bump stops rest on the leaf springs seeming to indicate overload of the suspension. Ford initially stated this was a problem, then updated assertion to state it is normal. Upon crossing over some bridge joints and pot holes on highways while traveling at or below speed limit and when well-below GVWR, impact energy transmitted through the steering wheel is mildly painful and immediate and forceful steering effort is needed to correct lane tracking, with some body roll and slight lane departure being difficult to avoid.
