Heil Environmental (Heil) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Rear Loader, Side Loader, Front End Loader and Rolloff Body/Hoist garbage trucks. The hydraulic oil tank brackets may crack, causing the oil tank to detach from the chassis frame rails and leak hydraulic oil.

Consequence: Hydraulic oil leaking onto the roadway can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Heil will notify owners, and dealers will replace both oil tank supporting brackets, free of charge. The recall began October 18, 2018. Owners may contact Heil customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is BRACKET.

25V500000 · Electrical System:12v/24v/48v Battery

Reported: 2025-08-04 (August 4, 2025) · Model years: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Side Loader garbage trucks. The battery support bracket may break and damage the battery case, possibly resulting in a battery rupture.

Consequence: A battery rupture increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the remedy is completed. Heil will replace the batteries, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 11, 2025. Owners may contact Heil customer service at 1-866-275-4345.

25V749000 · Fuel System, Other

Reported: 2025-10-31 (October 31, 2025) · Model years: 2023, 2024, 2025

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2023-2025 side loader garbage trucks equipped with certain Agility Fuel Solutions CNG Fuel Systems, using part number 10300466. The manual cylinder valves may develop stress corrosion cracks in the bottom plugged port, causing a leak.

Consequence: A natural gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Agility will replace the valves, free of charge. All affected garbage trucks were repaired by August 14, 2025. Owners may contact Agility's customer service at 1-844-474-7400 or Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.

Reported: 2026-07-22 (July 22, 2026) · Model years: 2025, 2026

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2025-2026 side loader garbage trucks equipped with certain HH Technologies ReVamp high voltage cabinets, with part number 372-9585. Water may enter an improperly sealed high voltage cabinet and cause component failure or a short circuit.

Consequence: Electrical component failure may lead to an unexpected vehicle shutdown, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, an electrical short increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Heil will install a protective enclosure, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 28, 2026. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is PN-26-354 .
