Heil Environmental (Heil) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Rear Loader, Side Loader, Front End Loader and Rolloff Body/Hoist garbage trucks. The hydraulic oil tank brackets may crack, causing the oil tank to detach from the chassis frame rails and leak hydraulic oil.
Consequence: Hydraulic oil leaking onto the roadway can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Heil will notify owners, and dealers will replace both oil tank supporting brackets, free of charge. The recall began October 18, 2018. Owners may contact Heil customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is BRACKET.

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2016-2026 front loader garbage trucks equipped with replacement CNG tailgate ladder kits. An incorrect bolt may have been installed in one of the ladder legs, allowing the bolt to contact and damage the CNG cylinders.
Consequence: A damaged CNG tank can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Heil will replace the ladder bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is SN-26-001 .

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2018-2020 front end loader garbage trucks. Excessive vibrations may cause the front head hydraulic tubes to leak.
Consequence: A hydraulic fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Heil will install stabilizing clamps, new hydraulic tubes, and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 30, 2025. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2021-2022 front end loader garbage trucks. The vertical welds on the automatic front loader (AFL) arm may be missing, causing the arm to crack and fall.
Consequence: A falling arm increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Heil will inspect and repair or replace the AFL arm as necessary, free of charge. All affected trucks were repaired by July 28, 2023. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2024 front end loader garbage trucks. The fuel shutoff solenoid may fail, resulting in an engine stall while driving.
Consequence: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Heil will remove the CNG automatic shutoff solenoid, free of charge. All repairs will be performed free of charge. All affected trucks were repaired by August 12, 2024. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.
