WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK. THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK THERE WOULD BE A HOWLING NOISE AS IF SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE POWER BOOSTER AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD VIBRATE. KNOCKING NOICE IS HEARD COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND IS FELT AS A "CLUNK" THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IN 6 MONTHS THAT THIS HAS OCCURRED. THE FIRST TIME WAS WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD 30000 MILES ON IT AND IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND FIXED UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 45000 MILES ON IT AND THE PROBLEM IS HAPPENING AGAIN.*AK

I BELIEVE THE DESIGN OF THE GMC YUKON POSSES A GREAT RISK OF COSTLY REPAIRS AND THE POSSIBLITY OF A FATAL ACCIDENT. I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO THE DEALER BECAUSE WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE RADIO WENT OUT. I ASSUMED THAT MAYBE A FUSE HAD WENT OUT. BUT WHEN ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO REPLACE THE BLOWN FUSE, THOSE FUSES BLEW ALSO. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER, I WAS INFORMED THAT A SHORTING OF THE WIRING OCCURRED BECAUSE SODA WAS SPILLED IN THE REAR CUP HOLDER. THIS CAUSED THE RADIO, SPEEDOMETER, HEAT, ETC... TO GO OUT ON THE FRONT DASH PANEL IN ADDITION …
