WHEN THE VEHICLE'S IGNITION IS IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION THE TRANSMISSION CAN BE SHIFTED INTO REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE, ETC. WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING PRESSED. MY 3 YEAR OLD WAS SITTING IN MY LAP IN THE DRIVERS SEAT IN A PARKING LOT LISTENING TO THE RADIO IN ACCESSORY MODE HE PULLED THE GEAR SELECTOR DOWN INTO NEUTRAL AND THE CAR BEGAN TO ROLL. THINKING THAT THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE, I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP. THEIR REPLY, "OH THAT'S WEIRD, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD DO THAT". NO FIX, JUST, "WE WILL LOOK INTO IT". *JB

Owner report 10130888 · 2005-08-01 (August 1, 2005)
I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE INTERSTATE FROM A 4 HOUR DRIVE AND HEARD A AWFUL GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IT SOUNDED LIKE "METAL AGAINST METAL". AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A BRAKE PAD, BUT THE PADS APPEARED TO BE FINE. I PARKED IT THAT NIGHT AND ON SUNDAY MORNING (6/6/2005) DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM TO CALL IN THE MORNING. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ME MONDAY MORNING AND SAID THAT THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING HAD GONE BAD. IN MY DISCUSSION WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, HE INDICATED THAT THIS IS A COMMO…
