DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY STOPPED FUNCTIONING WITHOUT WARNING WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL PUMP. THERE WAS A NHTSA RECALL # 06E043000 REGARDING THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO THE VIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED OF THE INCIDENT.

FUEL LEAK AT THE MAIN FUEL TANK ACCESS PORT. THIS VEHICLE HAS TWO FUEL TANKS, THE SMALLER AUXILIARY TANK(WHICH ARE OEM) HOLD ABOUT 8 GALLONS. UPON FILLING THE VEHICLE TO ITS CAPACITY, FUEL WOULD LEAK OUT UNTIL THE AUXILIARY TANK WAS EMPTY AND AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT FILL COMPLETELY FULL ( 3/4 ON THE FUEL GAUGE) IT WOULD NOT LEAK FUEL. THIS PROBLEM EVENTUALLY CAUSED THE FUEL PUMPS TO GO BAD AND WHERE REPLACED AND THE LEAK FIXED. NOW ON NOVEMBER 29, 2007 AFTER COMPLETELY FILLING THE LEAK IS BACK AGAIN, UP UNTIL THIS POINT THE REPAIR ALOUD COMPLETE …

RUSTY BRAKE LINES RESULTING IN COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE. THANKFULLY THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME, SO NO ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THIS FAILURE.
