Owner report 10016985 · 2003-05-04 (May 4, 2003)

TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND MAKES NOISE IN THE FIRST GEAR AT INITIAL START FROM A DEAD STOP. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. CONTACTED DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT ALL OF THEM DO IT. *JB

Owner report 10037346 · 2003-09-06 (September 6, 2003)

THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AND WENT OUT ON THIS VEHICLE WITH ONLY 61,000 MILES ON IT. I WROTE TO GM ABOUT IT, AND THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINT. THE FUEL PUMP ALSO WENT OUT ON THIS SAME VEHICLE AT 51,000 MILES. GM IS BUILDING VEHICLES OF VERY POOR QUALITY AND GETTING PREMIUM PRICES FOR THEIR VEHICLES. I AM TIRED OF BUYING AMERICAN BUILT VEHICLES AND GETTING JUNK.*AK

Owner report 10052708 · 2004-01-09 (January 9, 2004)

THE ABS CONTROL MODULE FAILED ON MY VEHICLE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE, CLOSE TO $1,000. IN SEARCHING THE INTERNET I FIND THAT THIS PROBLEM IS QUITE PREVALENT WITH THIS VEHICLE AND I AM WONDERING WHY THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THE EXPENSIVENESS OF THE REPAIR WILL SURELY CAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE TO SIMPLY DISENGAGE THE ABS SYSTEM WHICH CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE I BELIEVE.*AK
