DT: 2005 GMC CANYON. WHEN THE VEHICLE MOVED EITHER FAST OR SLOW IT SHOOK A LOT. THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT, AND IT WAS AN HALF TO ONE INCH TO THE RIGHT. WHILE DRIVING 45 TO 50 MPH, THE CAR IN FRONT SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AT A RED LIGHT. ALSO, CONSUMER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, BUT THE TRUCK BRAKES LOCKED, AND THE TRUCK SLID TO THE RIGHT.…

AIR CONDITIONING FAN ABRUPTLY STOPPED WORKING ON ALL FAN SPEEDS EXCEPT "4", THE HIGHEST POSITION. CHECKED INTERNET FOR POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS AND FOUND THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS FAILURES EXACTLY LIKE MINE. ALL INVOLVED THE "BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ASSEMBLY, CONNECTOR AND/OR WIRING HARNESS" SHORTING OUT. SCORTCHING THE CONNECTORS, RESISTOR ASSEMBLY AND CAUSING THE PLASTIC TO MELT/BURN. GM PARTS AT LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAD REPLACEMENT PARTS AND I WAS ABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. SPEAKING A GM SERVICE ADVISOR, HE CONFIRMED THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS RE…

WITHIN 1 WEEK OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN 4/05 THE TRANSMISSION WOULD BANG INTO 2ND GEAR. IT DIDN'T MATTER IF YOU TOOK OFF SLOWLY OF ACCELERATED QUICKLY. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY DID A COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO DO THIS. *NM

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE OUTSIDE CONDITIONS WERE FREEZING THE LINKAGE FOR THE TRANSMISSION FROZE AS WELL. THIS RESULTED IN THE INABILITY TO CHANGE GEARS UNTIL THE ICE MELTS. THE CONTACT STATED BY THE TIME THE VEHICLE WOULD ARRIVE AT THE DEALERSHIP, THE ICE WOULD MELT. THEREFORE, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN SEEN BY THE DEALERSHIP.

HIT 3 DEER IN HIGH SPEED COLLISION. MY AIR BAGS DIDN'T FUNCTION. THEN RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWED I HAVE TIKATA AIRBAGS. THEN I NOTICED MY BRAKES IF WET OR HAVE ICE ON ROTORS, WHEN BRAKING, I GET TERRIBLE SQUEAKING NOISE AND FRONT END WILL SHIMMY OR VIBRATE. REAR BRAKES TOO. AND MY POWER STEERING STARTED MAKING NOISE, LIKE A RUBBING SOUND A FEW MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT TRUCK, THOUGH NO FLUID LOSS OR STIFFNESS IN STEERING. I KNOW THESE AIR BAGS ARE DANGEROUS, METAL PARTS HAVE KILLED A FEW PEOPLE. WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED BY AUTOMAKER ABOUT WHAT AIRBAGS …
