DT: 2004 GEORGIE BOY CRUSH AIR - CHASSIS FREIGHTLINER XC. THIS IS A FULL AIR BRAKES UNIT, SOMEONE HAS CROSSED THE TWO AIR LINES TO REAR AXLE UNDER TENSION, AND ONE SAWED THE OTHER THROUGH IN 9300 MILES, THE OTHER WITHIN ITSELF WAS NEARLY THROUGH. THIS IS AN METAL ARMORED CABLE, AND THIS WAS AT THE INITIAL BUILD. THIS CAUSES THE AIR PRESSURE TO DROP FROM 125 POUNDS WHICH IS NORMAL TO LESS THAN 60 WITHIN 30 SECONDS, COMPLETE AIR LOSS. THIS CAUSES THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO GO OFF, NO MATTER WHAT SPEED ONE WAS TRAVELING. THIS DID NOT CAUSE ANY AC…

WHILE IN MOTION, THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE LEFT FRONT INNER WHEEL BEARING MELTED AND SEIZED TO THE SPINDLE DUE TO THE FACT THE CHASSIS LEFT THE ASSEMBLY LINE WITH UNGREASED WHEEL BEARINGS. REPAIRS WERE DONE TO THE DEFT FRONT SPINDLE THE WHEEL BEARINGS WERE REPACKED. CONSUMER FOUND OUT THERE WAS AN OWNER NOTIFICATION PROGRAM #01B65 THAT ADDRESSED THE FRONT INNER WHEEL BEARING. CONSUMER FEELS THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR MONIES PAID. *JG
