Over the air updates are a prominent feature of the car that Genesis touts. The car's firmware gets updated including operating issues, brake system and throttle campaigns, safety fixes, and navigation get updated. The updates have been a big issue. Earlier this year an OTA update wiped out every user setting including steering, adaptive cruise and other safety related settings. The contact owns a 2023 Genesis GV60. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V300000 (Power Train) however, the failure occurred after the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The contact depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle made an abnormally loud sound. My car has malfunctioned under the following circumstances: While attempting to make an unprotected left turn at a traffic light intersection (there is no left turn only light) through active lanes of opposing traffic where there is no median lane and no protective barriers between opposite directions of traffic, my vehicle has executed emergency braking on 8 separate occasions.
