Owner report 11089321 · 2018-04-22 (April 22, 2018)

TRANSMISSION CAN POP OUT OF GEAR WHEN THE SHIFT HANDLE IS INADVERTENTLY NUDGED WHILE DRIVING. ALSO, WHEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR WHEN STOPPED, THE TRANSMISSION WILL REVERT TO NEUTRAL (POP INTO) IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION UNLESS YOU HOLD THE HANDLE FORCEFULLY AND IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. EVEN WITH YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE. BOTH HAVE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. DEALER HAS NO SOLUTION. GENESIS HAS NO RESPONSE.

Owner report 11271204 · 2019-10-26 (October 26, 2019)

AFTER ENABLING THE STEERING ASSIST, LAST YEAR, WE NOTICED IT PULLING MORE AGGRESSIVELY THAN IT DID WHEN WE FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. WE DISABLED THE FEATURE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS THEN ENABLED IT AGAIN THIS WEEK. TODAY, WHILE MY WIFE AND FRIEND WERE DRIVING THE STEERING/LANE ASSIST PULLED THE WHEEL AGGRESSIVELY TOWARD THE OUTSIDE LANE, CAUSING THE CAR TO HYDROPLANE. LUCKILY MY WIFE WAS ABLE, AFTER THE CAR SPUN AROUND 360 DEGREES SEVERAL TIMES, TO CORRECT ENOUGH TO STAY OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND ENDED SIDEWAYS OFF THE HIGHWAY, SHAKEN UP BUT …

Owner report 11613759 · 2024-09-10 (September 10, 2024)

Steering wheel sticks when making left or right turn. Have to manually return the steering wheel back to a straight/neutral position. Extremely dangerous! If you don’t manually align the steering wheel quickly you will lose control, go off road, or hit another vehicle on any turn. Issue is consistent and wide spread problem among their vehicles after further investigation into the brand.

Owner report 11586849 · 2024-05-03 (May 3, 2024)

PROBLEM: It has happened multiple times (about 20-25 times since the purchase of the vehicle in November 2022), always while having the engine running from a stop (variable stop length); when pressing the gas pedal to re-initiate the running, the car doesn't respond to the pressure on the gas pedal for 1-2 seconds and usually responds again during the uninterrupted pressing of the gas pedal. It has usually happened, more frequently than not, while turning the car left or right with normal immediate initial response but 2-3 seconds later has a s…

Owner report 11548741 · 2023-10-06 (October 6, 2023)

The vehicle started smoking and stalled out Aug 18,2023. The vehicle starting shaking then I parked it for about two (2) hours. When I tried to crank vehicle again it wouldn’t crank. I attempted to complete diagnostic test but the vehicle wouldn’t remain on. I contacted dealership I purchased it from. They order a tow to be brought in. The dealership repair shop for about 3 weeks didn’t know what happened. The change filters and oil change but it still was stalling.
