TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FOREST RIVER VENGEANCE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V589000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-350 hauling a 2017 Forest River Vengeance 381L12-6 travel trailer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact depressed on the brake pedal but only the vehicle's brakes were engaged. The travel trailer electric brakes had failed and the "Error - Trailer Wiring Fault" warning message was illuminated. TRAILER WAS SOLD TO AS FOR THE PURPOSE OF A TOY HAULER. WE STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE SEAL AROUND FIFTH WHEEL AND IT WAS NOTICED BY OUR RV TECH THAT THE EXPANSION JOINT HAS EXCESSIVE PLAY RESULTING IN THE FLOOR COMING AWAY FROM THE WALL BY BEDROOM SLIDE. WE TOOK TRAILER DOWN TO A GOVERNMENT SCALE TO WEIGH TRAILER AND HAVE FOUND WE HAVE BEEN RUNNING THE TRAILER OVER WEIGHT BUT OUR CARGO CAPACITY HAS BEEN TO THE MAX OF THE TRAILER BUT LABELS ON THE TRAILER ARE INACCURATE.
