Owner report 10192523 · 2007-06-06 (June 6, 2007)

I PURCHASED A VEHICLE WITH AN EXPRESS 45 DAY GUARANTEE. WITHIN THE 45 DAYS I WAS HAVING MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. IT WAS NOT SHIFTING RIGHT, IT WAS OVERHEATING, LEAKING OIL AND RADIATOR FLUID. SINCE THE PROBLEMS WERE FOUND THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK INTO THE COMPANY FOR REPAIRS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, IT IS NOW FOUR MONTHS LATER AND THE PROBLEM STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. WITH ALL THE BAD REPAIRS AND INSTALLS DONE ON THE VEHICLE IT'S LIFE EXPECTANCY IS NOW SHOT. THE COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER COMPARABLE VEHICLES TO PUT US IN AND IS…

Owner report 10191864 · 2007-05-28 (May 28, 2007)

MY 1999, FORD RANGER HAD BEEN MAKING A SPARKING SOUND WHEN I STARTED IT UP FOR A FEW DAYS. THEN WE TOOK IT ON A DRIVE AROUND TOWN TO DO A COUPLE ERRANDS, MAYBE EIGHT MILES. CAME HOME, TOOK THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION AND WENT INSIDE. MY NEIGHBOR CAME TO MY DOOR 20 MINUTES LATER SAYING MY ENGINE WAS ON FIRE. WE OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW THE SECONDARY CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH, LOCATED ON THE END OF THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER, ON FIRE. ANOTHER NEIGHBOR HAD GRABBED AN EXTINGUISHER AND PUT IT OUT. SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM I SEE NOW, BUT SOMEONE…

Owner report 11193434 · 2019-04-02 (April 2, 2019)

THE "PLASTIC" WHICH COVERS THE TWO "SPEED CONTROL SWITCHES," LOCATED ON EACH SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL, BADLY MELTED OVER TIME - APPARENTLY FROM HEAT OF THE LAMPS UNDER THE COVERS. IT HAS MADE ME AFRAID TO ATTEMPT TO USE THE SPEED CONTROLS FOR FEAR OF FURTHER HEAT PROBLEMS AND/OR IMPROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DAMAGED CONTROLS. PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGED PARTS ARE ATTACHED. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THESE COMPLAINTS AND PHOTOS AND ALL I GOT WAS A "THANKS" FOR MAKING THIS KNOWN TO THEM - NOTHING MORE.
