TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: MY 1995 FORD PROBE HAS HAD A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS INCLUDING ONE OF THE MOST RECENT - HAVING TO REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION'S HAVE NOW OWNED THE CAR FOR 20,000 MILES OR 3 1/2 YEARS AND HAVE SPENT OVER FOUR AND A HALF THOUSAND DOLLARS ON "PRE-MATURE" PROBLEMS. THE CONSUMER IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, INVOLVING: THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER, INTERIOR LIGHTS, ETC. AS FAR AS SHE KNOWS THE BRAKE LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS, AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE WORKING. THE VEHICLE STALLS WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP, IN NEUTRAL. THIS CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT IF THE VEHICLE STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE DEALER WAS INFORMED OF THIS PROBLEM TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASE AND SAID THAT THE SPARK PLUGS WERE DEFECTIVE. THE PLUGS WERE CHANGED BY MYSELF, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS TO THIS DAY.
