OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS TWO NEW FORD INTERCEPTOR. THREE TIMES MY CAR HAS STALLED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A QUICK TURN AROUND TO STOP A VEHICLE FOR A M/V VIOLATION. THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF, I LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES THEN I STARTED TO ROLL TOWARDS A FENCE . I HAD TO SHIFT BACK INTO PARK TO START THE CAR. THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE IF THIS IS GOING TO KEEP HAPPENING. *TR

STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY CAME LOOSE. WHEN HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL AT THE 12 O'CLOCK AND 6 O'CLOCK POSITION THE STEERING WHEEL COULD BE ROCKED FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS MORE THAN 1/2". THE SAME WAS TRUE IN THE 9 O'CLOCK AND 3 O'CLOCK POSITION. THE PIVOT POINT OF THIS ROCKING ACTION WAS THE BASE OF THE STEERING WHEEL, NOT IN THE COLUMN. ACTUAL STEERING CONTROL, TURNING LEFT AND RIGHT, REMAINED SOLID. CAR WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL FORD DEALER THAT SAID THE STEERING WHEEL BOLT CAME LOOSE AND THE REPAIR WAS TO TIGHTEN THE BOLT. WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE, CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON DASHBOARD, THEN THE BRAKES WENT OUT AND WOULD NOT HELP SLOW VEHICLE. THEN SMOKE BEGAN TO FLOW FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HIT A COYOTE SAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FRONT BUMPER AND TRANSMISSION COOLER ALL PARTS WERE REPLACED USING FORD PARTS THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED BY FORD THEN THE TRANSMISSION ACCORDING TO FORD WAS DAMAGE AFTER THEY SERVICED IT AND REFILLED THE TRANSMISSION THEY STATED THAT IT WAS DRIVEN AND BURNED UP THE TRANSMISSION THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD AND RETURNED BY THE LOCAL TOWING COMPANY ON A ROLL BACK WRECKER. *TR
