PREMATURE PERFORATED CORROSION OF ENTIRE STEEL BRAKE LINE OF MY 1999 FORD EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER 5.4L 4WD WAS DISCOVERED AFTER MY BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WENT ON WITHOUT ANY PERCEIVED PROBLEM WITH BRAKING NOTED. INSPECTION OF THE BRAKES BY A NON-DEALER VENDOR REVEALED A WELL MAINTAINED BRAKE SYSTEM EXCEPT FOR SEVERE CORROSION OF THE ENTIRE BRAKE LINE SYSTEM WITH A LEAK ABOVE THE GAS TANK SUSPECTED. RE: FORD MOTOR COMPANY TRUCK WINDSHIELDS NOT SEALED PROPERLY WHILE DRIVING IN A HARD RAIN, I HAVE A 99 FORD EXPEDITION AND IT SOMEHOW HAD WATER LEAK INTO THE FUSE PANEL SHORTING IT OUT, ALSO SHORTED OUT THE GEM AND THE PCM. THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL, SMOKE FROM DASH. THERE WERE NO FLAMES, HOWEVER SOMETHING WAS BURNING SOMEWHERE. TRUCK QUIT RUNNING. BROKE DOWN 165 MILES AWAY FROM HOME.
