LOUD MISSING NOISE COMMING FROM ENGINE AND LOSS OF POWER. PROBLEM FOUND WAS # 4 SPARK PLUG ON PASS SIDE OF ENGINE HAD BLOWN OUT AND WAS LAYING ON TOP OF ENGINE. IT DAMAGED THREADS IN ALUM HEAD AND COIL PACK. SPARK PLUGS HAVE NEVER BEEN CHANGED. FACTORY DEFECT DURING BUILD. FORD DEALERS CONTACTED AND COULD OFFER NO ASSITANCE*AK

WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH VEHICLE STALLED. THIS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO DRIFT TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT ENGINE SPARK PLUGS BLEW OUT OF THE ENGINE. MECHANIC REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS. *AK

TL- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD EXCURSION. WHILE COMING TO A STOP SIGN DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH THE VEHICLE ENGINE STALLED AS HE ENGAGED THE BRAKE. HE TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. HE PUSHED THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD AND NOTICE THAT FIRE WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT HAD WATER IN THE VEHICLE AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER AT THE TIME OF THE REPORT.
