WHILE DRIVING MY 2004 PACE ARROW MOTORHOME, MY ABS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON; WHEN I STOPPED TO CHECK OUT THE VEHICLE, I NOTED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WAS SMOKING. IMMEDIATELY DROVE 12 MILES TO AN RV SERVICE FACILITY, WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPER HAD FROZEN IN AN ENGAGED POSITION, OVERHEATING THE WHEEL COMPONENTS AND DISABLING THE ABS SYSTEM FOR ALL 4 WHEELS. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, I FOUND THAT WORKHORSE, THE CHASSIS MFR. FOR MY RV, HAD ISSUED A SAFETY RECALL FOR FAULTY BRAKE CALIPERS FOR THE 3 MODEL YEARS PRECEDING MY U…

TL- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FLEETWOOD PACE ARROW. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON THE DASH BOARD, HE SMELLED BURNING RUBBER AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP WHILE PUMPING THE BRAKE. THE CONTACT HAD TO CONTINUE TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND VEER OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 150000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 149400.
