Reported: 2005-06-14 (June 14, 2005) · Model years: 2006
CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS HAVE UNSUPPORTED FRESH WATER AND HOLDING TANKS. THE TANKS REQUIRE STRAPS IN ORDER TO PREVENT THEM FROM SEPARATING FROM THE TRAVEL TRAILER.
Consequence: IF THE TANK FELL OFF WHILE THE TRAVEL TRAILER IS IN MOTION, DAMAGE TO FOLLOWING VEHICLES COULD OCCUR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND INSTALL SUPPORT STRAPS UNDERNEATH THE FRESH WATER AND HOLDING TANKS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 27, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 800-509-3418.
