Reported: 2022-05-30 (May 30, 2022) · Model years: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021

Escape Trailer (Escape Trailer) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Escape 17, 19, 21, and 5.0TA travel trailers, equipped with certain SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes connecting the gas valves to the cook top burners can fracture from excessive vibration or shock, causing a gas leak.

Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooktop, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 23, 2022. Owners may contact Escape Trailers customer service at 1-604-703-1650.

Reported: 2022-05-30 (May 30, 2022) · Model years: 2021, 2022

Escape Trailer is recalling certain 2021-2022 Escape 17, 19, 21, and 5.0TA travel trailers. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.

Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the quick disconnects, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2022. Owners may contact Escape Trailer's customer service at 1-604-703-1650.

24V624000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop

Reported: 2024-08-21 (August 21, 2024) · Model years: 2024

Escape Trailer is recalling certain 2024 Escape 17, 19, 21, 23, and 5.0 travel trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Consequence: A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, or remove the LED backlights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 27, 2024. Owners may contact Escape Trailer customer service at 1-604-703-1650.

26V132000 · Equipment:Mechanical:Spare Tire Mount/Rack

Reported: 2026-03-05 (March 5, 2026) · Model years: 2025

Escape Trailer Industries LTD. (Escape Trailer) is recalling certain 2025 E17, E19, E21, E5.0 recreational trailers. The spare tire carrier may have incorrect welding, causing the carrier to detach from the trailer during transit.

Consequence: A detached carrier can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the spare tire carriers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 2026. Owners may contact Escape Trailer customer service at 1-604-703-1650. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on March 9, 2026.
