TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 EMERGENCY ONE FIRE TRUCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD TO CONSTANTLY REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS TO PREVENT THE SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM FROM FAILING. ON TWO OCCASIONS, A FIRE OCCURRED IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM. A MECHANIC INSPECTED THE BRAKES AND CONCLUDED THAT THE PADS WERE OVERHEATING, WHICH EVENTUALLY CAUSED THEM TO CRACK. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE WAY THE PADS WERE SEATED (METAL RUBBING AGAINST THE PADS AND ROTORS) CAUSED THEM TO WEAR PREMATURELY. THE CONTACT HAS COPIES OF THE REPAIR HISTORY FOR THE SE…
