14V666000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Diesel

Reported: 2014-10-22 (October 22, 2014) · Model years: 2012, 2013, 2014

Elgin Sweeper Company Inc. (Elgin) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Broom Badger sweeper trucks manufactured March 1, 2013, to October 1, 2014. The affected vehicles are equipped with a modification hydraulic oil cooler fan wiring harness. The oil cooler fan may fail and cause overheating.

Consequence: If the oil cooler fan fails and the hydraulic system overheats, a vehicle fire could result.

Remedy: Elgin will notify owners, and dealers will install a modified wiring harness that separates ground wires form the fan and sending unit, free of charge. The recall began December 1, 2014. Owners may contact Elgin customer service at 1-847-741-5370. Elgin's number for this recall is SB-0148.

24V692000 · Fuel System, Diesel:Storage:Tank Assembly

Reported: 2024-09-10 (September 10, 2024) · Model years: 2023, 2024

Elgin Sweeper Company, Inc. (Elgin Sweeper) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Broom Badger street sweepers. The fuel system may allow the tank to be overfilled, which can cause a fuel leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire.

Remedy: Dealers will repair the fuel tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 29, 2024. Owners may contact Elgin Sweeper Customer Service Department at 1-877-DIAL-ESG (1-877-342-5374). Elgin Sweeper's number for this recall is SB-0260.
