19V825000 · Structure:Motorcycle:Kickstand/Center Stand
Reported: 2019-11-18 (November 18, 2019) · Model years: 2018
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2018 Multistrada 1260, 1260S, and Pikes Peak motorcycles. The side stand may be improperly welded, potentially causing the stand to break.
Consequence: If the stand breaks the motorcycle may unexpectedly fall over, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 2, 2020. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-19-004.
