2006 DUCATI MONSTER S2R800 DARK MOTORCYCLE- FUEL TANK WARPED INEXPLICABLY AT THE FUEL PUMP MOUNTING FLANGE, CAUSING A DANGEROUS FUEL LEAK OVER THE HORIZONTAL CYLINDER HEAD. ONLY THE RECOMMENDED FUEL OCTANE LEVEL WAS USED, NO FUEL ADDITIVES USED WHATSOEVER. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS PARTICULAR WARPING OF THE FUEL TANKS ON THESE DUCATI MODELS IS COMMON, AND INEVITABLE. TO CORRECT THIS FAILURE, I HAD TO BUY A NEW FUEL TANK AT MY OWN EXPENSE, WHICH WAS $2000 USD. I HAVE KEPT THE OLD TANK. I BELIEVE I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED BY DUCATI FOR THIS …
