Owner report 11075641 · 2018-03-01 (March 1, 2018)

FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE BIKE (PURCHASE NEW) THE REAR BRAKE WORKS FOR 1-2 MONTHS AND THEN DOES NOT WORK AT ALL (MOVING OR STATIONARY). THE SHOP HAS TO BLEED ON A REGULAR BASIS, AND SUGGESTED THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE BRAKE FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM, BUT THEY CANNOT SEEM TO FIX PERMANENTLY.

Owner report 11101769 · 2018-06-14 (June 14, 2018)

REAR BRAKE GETS MUSHY AND STOPS WORKING AFTER BIKE SITS FOR 1-2 WEEKS. IF RIDDEN FREQUENTLY, THE SAME HAPPENS IN ABOUT 3-4 WEEKS. FRONT BRAKE GETS MUSHY AFTER 3-4 WEEKS IN SIMILAR MANNER. CLUTCH GETS MUSHY IN 3-4 WEEKS. FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE, THE MUSHINESS APPEARS FASTER IN HOTTER AMBIENT TEMPERATURES (THINK, TEXAS SUMMER). MULTIPLE BLEEDINGS DONE ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT HELP. MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE DEALER RESULT IN MUCH OF THE SAME. THEY HAVE NO ANSWER AND THE MANUFACTURER SIMPLY IGNORES THE SITUATION LIKE …

Owner report 11419674 · 2021-06-04 (June 4, 2021)

I purchased a used Ducati Monster 821 2018 in February of 2020. The rear brake pedal was very spongy. I thought it was a quirk of a Ducati Monster. I took the motorcycle for an annual inspection in May of 2021 at a non-Ducati dealer and was told that I have no rear brake. It was also mentioned that this is a known issue with Ducati Monsters and probably has a recall. I took the bike to the dealer for servicing and they acknowledged there is a recall on the rear brakes of the Ducati Monster as well as the fuel sensor which doesn't consistently d…
