22V704000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Oil/Lubrication: Oil Cooler

Reported: 2022-09-20 (September 20, 2022) · Model years: 2016, 2017, 2018

Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Hyperstrada 939, Hypermotard 939, and Hypermotard 939 SP motorcycles. The two oil cooler hoses could contact each other and become damaged, which could cause an oil leak.

Consequence: An oil leak could drip onto the rear tire, and increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will install an oil cooler hose spacer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 28, 2022. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-22-002.
