THE TOP HINGED REAR GATE (DOOR) HORIZONTAL STRUCTURAL MEMBER DEVELOPS FATIGUE CRACKS BECAUSE OF BENDING AT THE HINGES AND CENTER BRACE ATTACHMENT BRACKET.
Consequence: IF FATIGUE CRACKS PROGRESS FAR ENOUGH, THE REAR GATE CANSEPARATE AND FALL OFF, WITHOUT WARNING, INTO THE PATH OF FOLLOWING TRAFFIC,AND CAUSE OTHER VEHICLES TO CRASH.
Remedy: REINFORCE THE HINGES AND THE CENTER BRACE ATTACHMENT BRACKET BY QUALIFIED WELDERS FROM DORSEY AUTHORIZED FIRMS.
