Owner report 11628569 ยท 2024-12-03 (December 3, 2024)

We were connecting the camper to our vehicle and saw smoke coming up from below the front of the camper near the master bedroom. We were able to break through a plastic sheet and pull out wires that had been crushed between the frame of the camper and the chassis. The frame was set directly on top of the wires and the wires had grounded to the frame of the chassis, wearing down the protective cover of the wiring. The wires caught fire and started smoking in the compartment below the storage/master bedroom.
