After owning new vehicle for one month the check engine light comes on, return to dealer for service and we are told there is a known issue with 2023 Traverse showing check engine light off the lot. The vehicle is inspected and found that wires from the computer are rubbing/melting against a hot surface in the engine/transmission causing a faulty check engine light.

I was trying to park on a little steep driveway. Somehow I got out of the car when it is D gear. The second major safety issue with this vehicle occurred on 5/15/2025 when we lost control of the vehicle while traveling on the highway. During this time, the windshield wipers went halfway up and stayed up. The radio randomly turned on and off. The horn randomly honked. The air didn’t work. On April 17, 2023 I was on my way home from work and got a message " Battery Saver Mode Activated." I checked the voltage and it was at 11.4. By the time I got home, the voltage had gone down to 10.3. I took the vehicle to the dealership on April 19, 2022 for repair. It was a bad alternator. On June 29, 2023, my family and I were on vacation and at a hotel in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. The battery warning light was illuminated.
