I OWNA 2001 CHEVY S-10 AND HAVE ALWAYS NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES, WHEN APPLIED GOING OVER A SMALL BUMP OR DIP, WILL MAKE A GRINDING NOISE AND NOT ENGAGE AT ALL. THEY WILL ENGAGE AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF APPLIED PRESSURE BUT BY THEN I AM ALREADY THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND HAVE NEARLY BEEN HIT/HAVE HIT ANOTHER CAR DUE TO THIS. THERE ARE 40,000 MILES ON MY 2001 S-10 AND THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT. I FILLED THE TANK FULL OF GAS AND 8 MILES DOWN THE ROAD , THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A CHEVROLET DEALER AND IT COST OVER $900.00 TO REPLACE THE PUMP. $500.00 FOR THE PUMP, $60 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC, 400.00 FOR THE LABOR. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! . *JB
